Celebrate Westwood Arts Hub and Westwood Public Library to
Host Community Art Supply Swap in Honor of Earth Day
WESTWOOD, NJ — To encourage sustainable creativity in honor of Earth Day, the Celebrate Westwood Arts Hub, in collaboration with the Westwood Public Library, is proud to announce the return of the Celebrate Westwood Art Supply Swap. The public swap will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the library.
Residents are invited to donate unused art surpluses—including paints, canvases, skeins of yarn, and brushes—inside the library from April 20–24. Organizers request that donations be in "ready-to-create" condition, free from the wear-and-tear of dried-out or unusable materials.
The following rules will be in place:
-
Participants should bring supplies to contribute.
-
The motto for the day is "Take what you need".
-
All participants are asked to be considerate of other swappers.
-
The swap is first come, first served with no money exchanged.
-
Any items remaining at the end of the day will be donated to the Westwood Public Library.
In the spirit of environmental stewardship, attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own reusable bags. For more information or to volunteer, please visit celebratewestwood.org. Please direct questions about the Art Swap to Heather O'Hara at westwoodartshub@gmail.com.
