Celebrate Westwood invites residents to the seventh annual Westwood (Early) New Year’s Eve Celebration on Wednesday December 31 from 4:30-6:00pm at Veterans’ Park, hosted by Celebrate Westwood, the Borough of Westwood, and the Westwood Fire Department with generous support from Westwood business Bellagio Jewelers.
This year’s family friendly event will feature a high-energy dj and snow flurries throughout the night, generated by two professional grade snow machines. Snow squall conditions are predicted right at 6pm when the glowing ball drops!
Families are invited to dance and mingle while children are invited to play ‘snowball’ tossing games around the bandstand to collect ingredients to build their own cocoa, while supplies last. At exactly 6pm, the crowd will count down for an exciting, illuminated “ball drop” from the Westwood Fire Department’s bucket truck to welcome in the new year!
Celebrate Westwood encourages attendees to explore dining and shopping options downtown before and after the event, being aware of holiday hours and reservation requirements.
Opportunities still exist for day-of volunteers and on-site information or activity booths.
