A Town-Wide Love Letter to Westwood
This February, Celebrate Westwood is turning our borough into a living love letter. Big Love, The Hub is a community art project rooted in the belief that we are far more alike than we are different. By creating and hiding hand-painted Hub Hearts, we are reminding our neighbors that love is a universal force that connects us all.
Join the Movement
There are two ways to get the "rock rolling" and help spread the love!
Option 1: Visit the "Heart Hub" at the Library
We’ve teamed up with the Westwood Public Library to create a dedicated space for creativity.
-
Where: The Children’s Section of the Westwood Public Library.
-
When: February 1 – February 28 (During regular library hours).
-
The Details: This is a free, drop-in station. We provide the rocks and the paint pens—you provide the heart!
Option 2: Participate From Home
Can’t make it to the library? No problem! You can host your own painting session at your kitchen table.
-
Step 1: Find a smooth, flat stone (river stones work best but any stone can work).
-
Step 2: Using acrylic paint or paint pens, draw a bright heart on the front.
-
Step 3: On the back, write: “Big Love, The Hub.”
-
Step 4: Hide your heart in a public space in Westwood for a neighbor to find.
The Mission: Hide, Find, Share
Whether you paint your heart at the library or at home, the goal is to get them out into the community!
-
Hide It: Tuck your stone into a stone wall, sprinkle into soon-to-bloom flower beds, and perch on ledges.
-
Find It: If you find a heart, it’s yours! Keep it if you need a lift, or re-hide it to keep the love moving to someone else.
-
Share It: Post a photo of your creation or your discovery on social media using #BigLoveTheHub and tag us @CelebrateWestwood.
