2024 Westwood Gingerbread House Contest

Calling all Westwood residents with a sweet tooth and a creative flair! Join us for the 2nd Annual Celebrate Westwood ArtsHub Gingerbread House Contest on December 9, 2024, 6PM-8PM at the Westwood Community Center. This year's event is sponsored by Matt O'Hare Coldwell Banker Realty NJ. 

 

Whether you're a seasoned gingerbread house builder or a first-timer, we encourage you to participate. This is a fun event for the whole family, and we can't wait to see your creations!

 

Get ready to bake/ assemble a kit, decorate, and compete for fun prizes! Here's how it works:

• Bake your gingerbread house, use a kit or make it from cardboard - you choose (we’re not tasting them!)

• Be creative with your decorations!

• Set up your display at the Westwood Community Center (55 Jefferson Ave, Westwood, NJ 07675) on December 11th between 4:00pm and 5:30pm. Gingerbread houses should be made off-site in advance with only mild tweaks necessary for display the night of the event. 

• Contestants and spectators are invited to view and vote at the Westwood Community Center from 6pm to 7:30pm.

• Onsite awards and prizes will be presented at 7:45pm, December 9. 

• Winning houses will be displayed in Westwood 12/10-12/22

 

Prizes will be awarded in two tiers for a total of eight winners: 4 prizes for children under 16, and 4 prizes for contestants 16 years of age and older. Each winner will be able to choose a gift certificate to the Westwood business of their choosing in the following amounts: 1st Place: $100; 2nd Place $50; 3rd Place $25; People's Choice $50.
