Editor's note:  Celebrate Westwood wishes to acknowledge the Junior Library Council led by Children's Librarian Denise Lester and Librarian Judie Gargano.  There are currently 14 active members.

From the library website:  "The Junior Library Council (JLC) is a new volunteer organization specifically for tweens and teens.  The program runs each year from October - May and includes a monthly meeting as well as several volunteer opportunities that benefit the Westwood Library and/or the greater Westwood community.  Members are expected to complete a series of mandatory activities, group activities and some independent activities to earn a Volunteer Certificate in May."  Interviews with members of the Junior Friends can be found here.
