SPECIAL MUSICAL GUESTS: The Adelphi Orchestra

Celebrate Westwood is excited to be welcoming back The Adelphi Orchestra as part of Westwood's Arts Amble program. This season, the orchestra is honoring the works of great African-American composers who left a lasting and vital musical legacy -- featuring the works of Scott Joplin, Harry Burleigh, Florence Price, William Grant Stills.
The mission of the Adelphi Orchestra(AO) is to serve the musical and educational needs of the community, with special emphasis given to families, seniors, and those with limited financial means. To further this end, numerous concerts are offered free of admission charges. The AO strives to advance the orchestral arts through education, original commission, community partnerships, and its robust young artist programming. Celebrate Westwood welcomes duo Gordo & Darby to this year's Arts Amble event. The duo is sure to delight their audience with an eclectic mix of folk-pop, rock classics and more!

WESTWOOD COMMUNITY BAND - JAZZ ENSEMBLE
7:00 p.m., Veterans' Memorial Park
The Westwood Community Band will step out of the bandstand for a special performance by their Jazz Ensemble. A favorite of Community Band fans, the Jazz Ensemble is sure to entertain with their spirited renditions of jazz band classics.
